GPS Tracker settings for MapSphere

There is a possibility to connect a GPS tracker to MapSphere. You can assign it to yourself or create another MapSphere account especially for the tracker. Note that in the first case you will not be able to log in MapSphere while the tracker is active.

Now only some GlobalSat GPS trackers are supported by MapSphere (for example GlobalSat TR-101, TR-102, TR-151). We can consider the support of other tracker types by your request (http://mapsphere.com/support)

GlobalSat TR-10x/15x Settings

1. Enter the setup mode in the Call Center application for your tracker and set all the required parameters such as phone number and GPRS connection settings of your provider (apn, user name, password, and DNS).

2. Set the following values:

Return type: GPRS
Return mode: Period report
Return time: 10 seconds
GPRS Port: 6550
GPRS Server Host Name: online.mapsphere.com *

3. Write down the IMEI number of the tracker unit and specify it in the Tracker IMEI field on the Account Settings page on the MapSphere Online site.

* Note. In case of DNS problems you can try to specify the direct IP address (69.8.125.216 for now) but it is subject to change without prior notice.
